What a Zoo?!?

We took Bailey to the zoo yesterday....she loved it. She loved being in the Snugli and looking at the animals with Daddy. They have a new, baby Elephant named, Scotty. He was so cute, as you can see.

Bailey had a wonderful time...I'm not really sure she noticed any of the animals, but she did have a good time people watching. I think she's going to be like us....Rob and I both love to watch other people, for some reason. I think we're both nosey...she definitely is.

I'm sure this was just the first of our many trips that we'll make to the zoo. Rob and I have been several times before, but it was so much more fun this time. It's a wonderful thing to be able to experience things through the eyes of a child as they see new places and things for the very first time. God has blessed us and we are so grateful for that.

A new ride...

Well, it's not really a toy....but, we needed a new car so bad. Rob's truck was not feasible for us now that we are a family of 3. We always had to take my car when we all went somewhere and we could only fit so much into my little Corolla. So, with Rob's work discount, we were able to get a good deal on our new Jeep. Poor Rob, he has been driving my car to work since we got it. I guess I'll have to let him drive it tomorrow. Hee hee...
Yesterday was Mom's birthday. We went to Outback for her birthday dinner and back to their house for an ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery. I would recommend the Cookies and Cream cake to anyone.....now, when am I starting that diet again?!? Ha!! There's always tomorrow!!

Carrots and Baseball

Bailey had her first taste of carrots the other day and she loved them. I don't know if you can tell that in the picture or not. I think she liked the washcloth as much as she did the carrots. I think she is going to take after Rob in the eating department...she hasn't met a fruit or veggie that she hasn't liked. Thank goodness...it will make it so much easier to get her to eat good foods if she's like him. Only in my 20's did I start to realize that french fries weren't vegetables. Mom and Dad always tried to get me to eat veggies and I never thought I liked them. Of course, I would have realized that I did if I had ever tried. Mom and Dad were right about many things that I didn't find out until I stopped being so hard-headed and listened.

We took Bailey to her first baseball game last night. The Lexington Legends were playing the West Virginia Power. She loved it...she even got a good nap on Nana.

The Legends lost 5-4, but we still had a good time. Bailey was pretty good throughout the game, which was a miracle considering it was about 90 degrees at game time. I hope that she will always appreciate these type of memories and the fun that can be had with mom and dad. I know we won't always be cool to hang around, but we're going to enjoy it while we are.....

Pictures, pictures....

Okay, here we are...we don't have ANY pictures of the two of us on the laptop. Of course, the first one is Me and the second is Rob. Now, everyone can see what we look like. It does help to put a face with a name. So many times, people look nothing like you picture in your mind.

Happy 4th of July....I think we'll grill out tonight after Bailey goes to bed and watch the fireworks from the back deck. Rob has been working so much that he may not be able to stay awake, but we'll see.

New Discovery

I'm not proud of it, but I am a TV junkie. Grey's Anatomy, The Office, What About Brian, you name it and I love it. So, this is one reason that I don't particualry care for summer. There is nothing on. Luckily, I have the internet to occupy my nights. Pre-baby, we would take rides late at night, go for long walks, etc. Now, we stay home from 7:00-on, because we don't want to mess w/litte missy's routine. I don't mind a bit, actually, it's given me a chance to discover new things about myself. I think I have realized that there is much more to life than TV. I'm trying to find a hobby and discover what my interests are. I started scrapbooking about 2 years ago and never did the first page. I decided to get my stuff down over the weekend, so I could do something memorable for Bailey. I practiced on our honeymoon pictures, because those aren't as important. Sorry, Rob!! I think it will be a good creative outlet that will hold me over until the new seasons start. Maybe, just maybe, it will keep me away from the tube when the new seasons roll around in a few months.

We got Bailey an exercauser this past week and Bailey loves it. I'll post some pics just so you can see for yourself. She is getting so big. By the way, excuse the drool.
